Good day,

Our campus picture tour post was delayed mostly due to the electric being out for around 30 hours following some high winds. We thank the Lord that it came back on this afternoon. We present here another stop on our campus picture tour.

Today we are visiting the entrance sign to our campus. Despite some searching, we have not been able to determine what year the entrance sign was put in place. The earliest picture we have dates most likely to the mid-1970's.

It would be interesting (however impossible) to know how many people have stopped at this iconic, yet simple red sign as they made their way onto our campus. Come visit us and take your own picture under our iconic entrance sign. Oh, and there have been rumblings about replacing this sign, so come soon!

Our next stop on January 14 will be at the Gjesdal Memorial Educational Building. See you then.

This is the earliest picture we found that includes the sign. Certainly there must be an earlier picture hiding somewhere. Notice that the sign did not yet have its signature red paint..
There was no date associated with this picture. Many people have entered under this sign to learn and to serve.

Here is a picture of the Troyer family when they arrived this past summer.

This group of land-finders did not have any sign to greet them-only barren land welcomed them. It was just down the road from this sign where, as they prayed, they felt that God wanted them to purchase this land for the purposes of a Native American school.
