Current Projects
The basement of House 8 has seen many uses across the years of its existence. Built in 1969, its first use served the campus as the chapel until the basement of House 10 was finished. It has served as the girls’ dorm, boys’ dorm, and basement space for staff family housing. The current remodeling project looks to increase our capacity for guest or staff housing. In this floor-to-ceiling project, the bathroom will be enlarged, a drop ceiling will be installed, and part of the basement will be optionally available to the upstairs. The work is to be completed by maintenance staff or volunteer labor. The basement is currently torn apart as we have done what we could without finances.
